Jewelry Holder Collection

It all begins with an idea. Usually, out of a need for something within my own space.

Let’s start with the origin story behind why I’m crafting these jewelry holders.

I believe everything, well, maybe I’m being dramatic, but I believe most things are an investment. For this reason, I invest in the items, clothing, and products that come into my home. Everything is very intentional; made by artists, or crafted by locals, and I do my best to support companies that work with intention, that value the Earth and sustainability, support fair wages, and work with organic materials. All those juicy details that often get overlooked in a highly saturated consumer market built upon speed, options, and availability.

So, why the jewelry holders? This all stemmed from my slowly growing collection of jewelry that I’ve gathered from my travels and family over time. It got to a point where I needed a place I could mount and display my pieces. I didn’t want to get something made of plastic and mass-produced in China or Vietnam. Rather, I was looking for something that was also a work of art to hang on my walls and place on my dresser to hold my pieces. After hours of research, the age-old question in my. life dawned on me, “Why don’t I just make my own”. So here we are.

(blog continued below)

This small collection contianing 5 pieces: 3 wall holders and 2 tabletop sculptures is my first attempt to make functional sculptures. As usual, these pieces contain crystal elements and energy as well. The crystal energies I’m working with here are Australian opal, sunstone, and clear quartz. An overall very uplifting, creative, and bright energy. I will go into more detail on the energetics behind this combination later, in another blog post.

Currently, as of Jan 21, I sent them off to get their first firing! Those images are shown above. As of now, I don’t own my own kiln, so all my pieces are being fired at the Costa Mesa Ceramic Studio located in Costa Mesa, CA. The kind souls working there have been so sweet in taking care of my work and making all this possible. <3

Ill keep you updated on my socials and my blog as this collection progresses. So excited to share these with you all!
